Membership Suite for WooCommerce – Content Restriction Configuration

You can restrict users from accessing pages/posts. Only users having the specific Membership Plan can access the restricted content.

Click the “Add Rule” button to create a new rule for content restriction.

Give the title for the rule for your reference.

Select the content type(page/post) you want to restrict in the “Content Type” option. Based on your selection, search and select the page/post title in the “Select Pages” or “Select Posts” field. If the field is left empty, the restrictions will be applied for all the pages/posts as per your selection.

In the “Restriction Type” option, select “Alternate content” to show different content for the users when the restriction is applied and select “Page” or “Popup” in the “Show Alternate Content In” option to show the content on a page/popup as per your requirement. Select “Excerpt content” to show only a summary of the contents and in the “Number of Words to be Shown” option give the excerpt word count. Read more links will be automatically appended at the end of the excerpt content which when clicked, alternate content will be displayed. (Note: You can customize the alternate content in Membership Suite > Settings > Messages > Alternate Content > Alternate Content for Content Restrictions). Select “Redirection” if you want to redirect the users to a different page. Give the redirection URL in the “Redirection URL” field.

By default, a user gets access to restricted content immediately after becoming a member. If you want to grant access only after some delay, then in the “Give Content Access” option, select “After specific duration of becoming member” and select the delay time in the “Give Content Access After” option. If you want to give access only after the trial period, then select “After trial”.
