I need a feature that allows a single product to be rented out hourly or daily. No, not like a sketchy hotel room…. We are renting out children’s bounce houses and offer a 4 hour duration or 24 hour rental duration. The product needs to show as available/unavailable on calendar dates and needs to be able to be booked as one of the options shown above.

I need the same thing. Running into all sorts of issues with a boat rental client of mine that offers hourly rentals as well as daily/weekly/weekend rentals. Even though I’ve created separate durations per product, I’ve found that even though they share the same resource, when the daily duration rentals are booked for a certain daily for example, it still allows you to rent the hourly product.
