Allow Wooservices to include tax rates from multiple states in the US. Last year’s Supreme Court decision on Wayfair vs South Dakota changes the state sales tax collection rules for online retailers. It used to be that states could only tax sales by businesses with a physical presence in the state. Now economic activity in a state — economic nexus — can trigger a sales tax collection obligation. Economic nexus is based entirely on sales revenue, transaction volume, or a combination of both.

Sales Tax for multiple states is way overdue! Having to use a third party that charges you for something that should be built in really stinks and overcomplicates things. WooCommerce already calculates sales tax just fine, why not add the ability to do this for multiple states and let the admin simple select which states to do it? And, as another option “automatic” could be selected to check sales numbers in any given state per year to automatically begin charging sales tax when nexus is reached…
