Problem: WooCommerce didn’t support DHL in creating parcel labels for Europe and Asia by default, as such DHL needed a solution for their thousands of medium to enterprise business customers who expect an integration for their WooCommerce-enabled eCommerce websites.

Solution: Progressus.io developed an official DHL plugin as a WooCommerce integration solution with the primary functionality of creating packing labels in the back end. Progressus.io also built additional services for labels including affixing reference numbers, insurance, duties and documentation for international packages, issuing automatic tracking numbers, return parcel handling, sending transactional emails as DHL as well as other advanced options, and customizations. The highly-rated and well-received plugin was built with an object-oriented data structure and supports individual screen options for each of the included country integrations creating an increase in workflow efficiency. The plugin was created to support the popular DHL Paket for Germany, DHL Parcel for Benelux, DHL eCommerce Asia as well as an integration for Deutsche Post International for all European countries with a separate API, and an independent integration for Sweden.

Company: Budget Car Rental is a globally recognized brand for vehicle rentals, both operating and licensing its brand throughout the world, such as for their Harrisburg location in Middletown, PA in the United States. Problem: Budget Harrisburg approached the WooExperts at Progressus.io to help them manage customers and rentals in an efficient and streamlined manner as they were using Google spreadsheets and it was becoming unmanageable.

Solution: Progressus.io used WooCommerce to build their “Vehicles” page with product pages that included custom design modifications that are unique to Budget Harrisburg. The Gravity Forms plugin was extensively adjusted so that cars and features could be tailored based on customer selections. Several custom options were created for selections such as for insurance coverage, included mileage per month and VIP pricing. Additionally, taxes and pricing totals were set to automatically update based on the address the customer inputs to create an accurate, and instant quote. Beyond that, Progressus.io also created a bespoke Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software using the WordPress admin dashboard for Budget Harrisburg that tied the customers’ selected options to their information, which is then saved.

Problem: Janovic’s website was strictly a portfolio where customers could view inventory, then shop in one of their physical locations. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a shift needed to be made to fully accommodate online shopping and delivery, which is why they approached Progressus.io.

Solution: Progressus.io started by rebuilding the home page from the ground up, adding full eCommerce capabilities with WooCommerce. This included fully customized product pages right down to their design and the way they functioned. Then, a fully customized business-to-business (B2B) ordering system was created that listed all products across different categories. A specific paint list was also made with an API integration for the leading national Benjamin Moore Paint brand. Not only can businesses now make multiple product purchases at one time, but the color swatches and color details are now automatically made available for Benjamin Moore paints for an enhanced and comprehensive user experience. From there, a business-to-customer (B2C) ordering system was created. Both ordering systems were built with an order delivery integration where items can be reserved for pick up in-store complete with time slots or for delivery to a chosen address. Finally, a custom payment system was created so businesses and customers alike could create accounts with an efficient, enhanced and streamlined checkout and payment process.
