The WooExpert Awards: Americas, 2023

At WordCamp U.S., which was held on August 24 – 26th, Woo presented awards to top WooExperts in a number of categories. In this post, we’ll describe each award and introduce you to the winning agencies.

What are WooExperts?

WooExperts are an elite group of full-service agencies specializing in all things WooCommerce — from large-scale site builds and custom development to complex integrations, store optimization, and more.Membership to the WooExpert Program is exclusive. Member agencies are thoroughly vetted and verified by the Woo team to ensure that the highest standard of work is maintained.

WooExpert Regional Annual Awards

This year, we recognized five agencies in both the European and U.S. regions for their work as new agencies, creative innovators, open source champions, great experience providers, and top performers. Each agency has demonstrated exceptional skills, commitment, and innovation within the WooExpert Program, and we are incredibly proud to have them as part of our community.

The Newcomer Award: Zao

This award recognizes significant contributions made by an agency new to the WooExpert program. This agency has shown an eagerness to get involved with the Woo team, contribute to the program, and grow with Woo. Award nominees are proposed by the Woo program managers and winners are confirmed by vote.

As an agency new to the program, Zao’s contributions have already made a significant impact on the Woo community. They have onboarded new Woo merchants with impressive efficiency and have demonstrated excellent responsiveness, initiative, and an eagerness to move forward in the program. 

The Open Source Champion Award: WPSpins

This award acknowledges an agency that actively gives back to the WordPress community through contributions to core, participation in meetups, and thought leadership.

WPSpins has shown a strong commitment to the Woo community through its ongoing involvement in local WordCamps, publishing engaging content to its blog with a goal of educating the larger community, and showing exceptional keenness as agency partners that encapsulates the spirit of open source ethos.

The Agency Excellence Award: FirstTracks Marketing  

This award celebrates an agency that consistently delivers exceptional customer service. Their dedication to client satisfaction goes above and beyond, creating lasting relationships and turning new merchants into loyal WooCommerce users.

FirstTracks Marketing truly embodies this spirit by going the extra mile for their clients, regardless of the challenge. In a recent opportunity to take on a difficult project, this team jumped right in, worked closely with the Woo team, and ultimately delivered a successful product to a happy customer. Their unwavering commitment to getting the job done well in the face of adversity sets a remarkable example for their peers, partners, and clients.

The Top Agency Award: Bright Vessel

This award honors the agency that has made the highest-level contributions to the WooExpert Program. The winning agency dedicated and appreciated WooCommerce partner and excels in fostering growth and prosperity on the Woo platform. 

Bright Vessel’s dedication and consistent high performance, complemented by ambitious goal-driven strategies, echo the standards of our WooExpert Program. Their innovative outlook and technical prowess help them forge meaningful new paths to success within the WordPress and WooCommerce communities.

The Innovator Award: Kelp

This award celebrates the agency that consistently finds creative ways to approach their clients’ challenges and uses this creativity to deliver powerful online experiences using WooCommerce. A top innovator expands boundaries with unique work, showcases the flexibility and expansiveness of the Woo platform, and leverages modern Woo or WordPress API functionality. 

Kelp has earned their spot as a Woo innovator with their outstanding creativity — showing that anything is possible with Woo. Their skillful use of the Woo Store API to power a label designer for shoppers epitomizes innovation and underlines the flexibility of WooCommerce.
